    Hi,

I was totally taken by surprise to discover that EE default emails do not support HTML. Is there a particular reason why? The EE_Email class and corresponding CI class is able to send HTML emails then why does EE not allow HTML?

    Thanks,
    Farhad

    Hi,
I know it’s bit strange. Usually get around this with this add-on from Max (free) : MX notify

    Hope this helps

    Hi Farhad,

I know it might seem like it’s an easy thing to accomplish, but HTML email is actually quite difficult to get right. That’s not saying it’s not something we’d like to do, but we don’t want to do something like that if we can’t get it right. So for now, that would make a great Feature Request if you’d like to post one.

Was codeM’s suggestions helpful in the meantime?
