    Hello,

We have a indirect client running a WP site. (I know but it was outwith our control) Theres about 300 hundred members and each member get sent out an email from the server when there is a new post.

Am i right to be a little concerned about this? The site is on a budget hosting solution. Email being an area of little experience i have doubts whether this is a good idea.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

it is more than likely that the server is or will get SPAM blacklisted, as such affecting other sites on that server (yours or otherwise). The host then needs to get that server unlisted, and that can take weeks.
It can also result in that domain being blacklisted - which is a bigger more local mess to sort out resulting in important work emails getting put into SPAM.

I would make sure you have the right SPF records setup, saying that this server is real and associated with your companies mail - otherwise the emails are more likely to be put into spam.

You may also consider how they are being send - php or through a SMTP server with a real account?

    Confirmed my suspicions.

    Thanks! Appreciate it.
