    Just found a strange bug/abnormality…

We created a Admin group with access to everything except the some items in control panel access.

There was only one content channel with a single field group and no category group or status group.

Now whenever this user try to edit or create a entry it sets the status to closed. Where as, as Super Admin it is open.

Only way to fix this was to add the status to the channel.

I wasn’t sure if this was meant to happen or maybe one of those 1% things when you would have the status group attached to a channel.

    Hi Jack,

I’m not sure this is actually a bug; I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem on my installation. Let’s see what’s going on with your setup though. It could be a setting somewhere that needs to be flipped.

If the status field is included for your Admin group, what’s the default status shown for a new entry? Also, are you running the latest version EE? I seem to recall (though I can’t find it at the moment) that this was a reported bug in previous versions that was fixed very recently.
