And when I navigate to /admin.php, I get this:
Unable to select the specified database:
    Filename: core/EE_Config.php
    Line Number: 172

Is is possible that because I have just transferred this site to a new domain, that EE thinks I am trying to run duplicate licenses?  Help!  Night before Thanksgiving and my client is freaking out…

Also, I tested with dbtest.php and I get this:
A connection was established to your database server
    Unable to select your database

Argh - not an EE issue.  Seems that there was a Cpanel issue.  We overwrote the database with a backup copy and reassociated the user with the database.  In case anyone else has this same issue in the future!

Yes - aside from the heart attack I about had Wednesday night.  Reassociating the database user with the database in Cpanel is an absolute must, apparently, when doing a site transfer to a new domain using Cpanel (something Cpanel’s forums really should tell you).  Just a tip to anyone else using Cpanel!

Sorry you had to experience that, rapturestudio! But thanks for posting your solution back here. If we can help again in the future, please let us know.
