I thought my File Manager woes were fixed when I upgraded to 2.3.1 and file uploads worked perfectly for Super Admin. They still do.
However, my “Editor” member group cannot upload files reliably. While they have been able to upload a pdf file on first try, when they upload an image, the File Mgr times out in IE8 (website cannot display this page) or there’s an error message that says “The file could not be written to disk.” If they cancel out and then try uploading pdf again, they just get the same error message. That said, when I FTP to the server, the uploaded image file is in the directory but there is no corresponding image in the _thumbs directory which leads me to believe the primary issue is that _thumbs are not being written so the upload does not complete.
Obviously, the Editor group is enabled to upload files. Any ideas how to fix for my Editors member group?
