I just upgraded from 2.2.0 to 2.3.1 and now my control panel is unstyled. I’ve looked at a bunch of posts with similar problems and nothing (including re-uploading the CP theme folder) helps. I have not tried moving the CP themes folder as suggested (the open_basedir business) because it seems if that would fix it, it wouldn’t have worked before; and I’m hosted at EngineHosting, who, it seems likely, would not have servers set up so they screw up EE. I’ve checked the themes location in the unstyled CP and it appears correct. (That’s kind of like a videogame; when you try to click stuff, it jumps away or disappears.) Looking in Firebug, it appears the page is finding all the proper CSS and JS files (they are expanded in Firebug), but it’s ignoring them. Suggestions?

Is it possibly related to a jQuery problem? The jQuery add-on is probably used extensively in the Control Panel to handle pages functions?

It’s conceivable, but all the jQuery stuff appears to be in the right place (Firebug even showed it to me when I looked at the page), and none of the numerous problems like this have been JQuery-related. But I will keep that idea in mind.

    Thanks,

Never mind. I uploaded the entire themes directory again and the styling reappeared.
