    Here’s the skinny…

    EE 2.2.1

    Sign in form
Forgot password link uses the default EE system
Fill in email, huzzah. Mail arrives “click this to reset”
    Click
Email arrives “click here to be emailed a new password
    Click
    Nothin, eva!!!

Communication tab - send email = check !
System email alerts = check !!
Any & all emails arrive EXCEPT this freaking “new password” email - seriously WTF?

I have $4K waiting on the end of this freaking issue, any help y’all can throw at me the happier I’ll freaking be!

    For the record:
Had .htaccess implemented - turned on & off no difference
Had Zoo User manage the “forgot” turned on & off no difference
    All system paths seemingly correct
    System folder IS above root

I gotta get some love on this thing, I am going spare right now.

PS. Yes I am freaking stressed!

Is this happening for both users and admins? When you click the reset link in the first email does it open a blank page or do you get some kind of error?

Everything works as expected, clicking, linking, everything except the final email containing the damn password!

    Hi Cheif,

What did the link look like in the first email?
Does the second one have the index.php after you turned off the htaccess?

Had .htaccess implemented - turned on & off no difference

When you turned it off did you add back in the index.php as a setting in your General Configuration preferences in your control panel?

To confirm please let us know if you have scoured your junk and spam folders even though you probably have at this stage

    This is front-end login?

    .htaccess = off
    index.php installed in CP
    Front end use = yes
Junk = No it’s going straight to gMail (no junk per se)
    First link = http://mysite.com/index.php?ACT=17&id=gwtsjowa

I cannot think of a logical reason as to why one would and the other would not.

Yes, umm, well… there is indeed a junk filter within gMail, neatly hidden in amongst other folders, well out of view.

Low & behold - 20 emails all with my new password.

Thanks JH. pls close this one out - I’m off to hit my head with a brick for a short while now.
