I have a client on EE v1.7.0. I would like to create a member that can only edit a single entry in a weblog. That I can set up. However, when the user begins to edit the entry, I would like the publish/edit form to only have the “Publish Form” and “Options” tabs. I would like to hide the following tabs on the form:

    Date
    Categories
    Trackbacks
    Pings
    Pages
    Show All

Is this possible, and if so, how would I do it?

    Hi D. Shun-Luoi Fong,

There is no customize capabilities as advanced as EE2.x for the publish form but you can turn on and off certain tabs in your weblog preferences. This will be across the board though for every member including yourself.

It would be possible in theory to create an extension that would recognize your logged in user and hide those tabs just for that user. You might find something close to this functionality on devot-ee.com
