I have a safecracker form with a matrix field and an upload field inside it where users upload PDFs of meeting minutes every month. This has worked great for 20 rows in the matrix field. Now it is doing weird things:

New rows can be added, but when a file is uploaded in the same row, it doesn’t save. When I get rid of a row, it does save. So there seems to be a limit of 20 files. Is this a known thing?

    Other troubleshooting:
I can upload the file through the cp fine.
The file size of the pdf is not a problem at 266kb.
I deleted some of the bigger files in the upload dir and tried to upload, it in row 21, but it didn’t work.

ee v2.1.3 build 20110411 Safecracker 2.0 (I know I need to update it)

    Hi, kelly.

You’ll need to contact Brandon directly for support for Matrix. But I’d try updating to 2.3.1 and whatever the most recent version of Matrix is. Moving to the Community Help forum for additional community support.

I think this might be more of a SafeCracker File fieldtype issue. I forgot to mention that the field inside the Matrix is not a File fieldtype, but a SafeCracker fieldtype. I created a new matrix field with a File fieldtype instead of SafeCracker and uploaded through the cp 20+ rows of files fine, but then I switched it to a SafeCracker File field and it won’t save the files.

I will update some things though.

You can close this post - pretty sure it has to do with the php.ini max_file_uploads setting. Of course this particular site is hosted by a company that won’t let you change that setting. Yea. Thanks for the reply.
