    Hi,

I’ve installed the latest EE 2.3.1 (an upgrade from 1.7.x). All other websites I have, the Bookmarklet works flawlessly, but whenever I try to make a Bookmarklet in this installation and test it out, it sends me to the CP homepage instead of the publish form.

I believe all the files are uploaded correctly - it would be great if someone else had struggled with this before and found a solution.

    Thanks.

    Hi AngMed,

I’m not able to get the Bookmarklet to work either in EE 2.3.1, so I’d like to get some more details from you before posting a bug report on this. What version EE are you using on your other sites where the Bookmarklet is working?

Is the behavior consistent for you no matter which Channel or Channel Field you select for the Bookmarklet?

    Hi Kevin,

I’ve tested 2 other sites with the same latest EE version (2.3.1 - Build: date 20111017 ) and they seems to work fine. Mind you, its not easy right-click copy the link for javascript - I have to Chrome Inspect Element to copy the entire Javascript URL and manually paste it in to my bookmark.

I’ve tried different combinations of Channel and Channel Field, but when I try to use the bookmarklet it always seems to end up on the homepage.

Conclusion; it seems to work for some EE 2.3.1 sites but not for others

I found the reason and a solution.

Seems like my .htaccess file remove index.php from the bookmarklets, after just adding index.php before ?S=..... it all worked

    Resolved

Glad you were able to figure out what the problem was. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
