I appreciate that the best course of action is to delete a spammer, rather than have them sitting in the database as a banned member, but a couple of the anti-spam plugins choose to ban, rather than delete, and it’s the simplest course of action.

That doesn’t help hugely when that member has already slipped through the net and posted heaps of forum spam, though.  Is there not any way of easily deleting all posts by banned members?

    Hi Jon,

It would actually be best course of action to ban a spammer than delete them. You would rather have then banned from coming back rather than deleted and trying again.

here are some tools available to make the management of spam members easier

I can’t think of an addon to make the deleting of form spam posts easier especially for an individual member other than doing a search on there recent posts.

You could do a query I suppose

Low NoSpam catches them as they are posted

Thanks John - sorry for not getting back to you earlier - we had a couple of these set up but I hadn’t spotted Andrew’s addon, so we’ll give that a shot.

A query might be worth a shot if that fails.  Fingers crossed!

Sounds good, Jon. Let us know when you’ve had a chance to test this.
