    Hi,

    I’m on EE 2.3.0 and MSM 2.1.1

The main website seems to be fine - been trying to just get up a basic page of my sub site and the only thing I get is Array.

The can be found here: http://christianity.net.au

I’ve turn the debug tool on and get this:

    Hi Robert,

Unfortunately visiting that link I just get a website under maintenance - back soon message appear for me.

Was this a brand new install of ExpressionEngine or have you recently upgraded your site at all? If you did update then did you get any error messages during the update. Could you let us know what they were if you did.

Have any sub-sites ever worked with this installation or is this the first time you have tried this? Do you have the forum module installed on either of these sites?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

This should give you the correct error message: http://christianity.net.au/index.php

Upgraded from 1.7.x to 2.3.1 - No forums installed (we used to have it on 1.7.x). No major issues with upgrade. http://sydneyanglicans.net is the main website on the installation, is online and it works fine.

Under 1.7.x we had a few sub sites on the same installation work successfully the last 3-4 years.

I got the license to install the forum as well - do you think it would be smart to just install it and uninstall it to remove any associations?

    Hi,

I tried to install the Forum module (version 3.1.6) but get ‘Unable to locate the files needed to install this module’ when I try to install it. Maybe there is a link between my MSM issue and this?

    Hi,

I wish someone could help me with this issue, as some of our most popular websites are down for the moment because of transfer to EE 2….

    Cheers,
    Robert

    Hi, Robert.

Where did you upload your forum files to? I suspect you put them in the wrong places.

    Hi,

I believe the folders and files are uploaded correct, just to check:

    forum_themes folder is located: /themes/
    forum_cp_lang.php & forum_lang.php are located at /system/expressionengine/language/english/
forum_attachments folder is located at /images/ and permission is set to 777
forum folder is located at: /system/expressionengine/third_party/

forum folder needs to go into system > expressionengine > modules instead as it’s a 1st party module.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi,

Yes, the forums seems to be ok, the MSM still not working.
I just gave up the MSM and did that hard way to install separate installation for the site.

Thanks for the help, a bit late in my case.

    Cheers
    Robert
