I know which channel its coming from, but I can’t figure out what is wrong that is happening…

Any help would be super grateful.

    Thanks.

Which template group is your site index located in?

Do you have “Make the index template in this group your site’s home page?” checked on that group?

Is there a specific {exp:channel:entries} tag on the template that’s misbehaving?

Is it displaying the correct template, but the tag is outputting the wrong results?

    Thanks for the assist, Marc.

nickpw - what exactly do you have in your default template? If you are calling any sort of exp:channel:entries tag, that would make sense why you are seeing those entries.

    Does that help?

The only entries tag I use on the homepage is for my blog channel, but that’s not the problem.

What I’m seeing is all of the entries from my about channel, but it’s not loading in a template either.

    Hi, Nick.

What I’d do is the following:

    1. Make a backup of your original template.

    2. Change your index template to have just some basic code, like a “this is a test” with no EE tags.

    3. Clear your caches if you’re caching your templates.

    4. View your site.

    What happens then?

    Hi Nick,

Can you put your template back to what it was before the change and post the template code here to the forums. If it’s too big to go into one forum thread then could you attach a text or zip file with the template code in it so that we can take a look please.

    Thanks,

    Mark

i ended up duplicating the template group that housed the index page, deleted the original group, and changed all of my embeds to reflect the new template group. That did the trick.

    Hi Nick,

Glad you got this sorted in the end. Thanks for letting us know.

Would have been nice to have gotten to the bottom of this one just incase it happens again but as you’re all set now I’ll go ahead and close this one out.

If anything else crops up then please don’t hesitate to post again as needed.

    Cheers,

    Mark
