    Hi

I’m getting the following error when I try to add a quick link to any page on the CP:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘,’, expecting T_FUNCTION in /MY_BASE_PATH/system/expressionengine/libraries/Messages.php on line 5293

I’ve replaced my real base path with MY_BASE_PATH

    thanks

    Hi daithi,

I’m sorry to see this is happening, however I was unable to replicate this issue. Was this a fresh install or an update? I looked in Messages.php and it doesn’t even go to line 5293, only 5249. Can you try to replace the file on your install with the same file from a fresh download?

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the response Dan.

It was an update from 2.2.2 to 2.3.0. My Messages.php goes to 5426, including an easter egg! (attached)

I’m uploading the new messages.php now! I’ll let you know how that goes.

Adding the messages.php from 2.3.1 appears to have fixed the issue.

    Thanks for your help
