    Hi there,

Is there a way to filter search results so they only show those authored by the CURRENT_USER?

    I’ve tried:

    {exp:search:search_results author_id=="CURRENT_USER"}

    To no avail!

    Thanks!

    Hi Jonathan,

Unfortunately there isn’t a parameter like that available to the Search Module at the moment. You are welcome to make a Feature Request to that effect if you like though.

Aside from that would you perhaps be able to utilise the search://field_name=“phrase” in conjunction with the author_id=“CURRENT_USER” parameter within a Channel Entries tag instead?

Other than that you may be able to do what you need with something like the Super Search module from Solspace.

    Does that help at all?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

That’s too bad! I actually need the search entries to be specific to a particular user, even if it’s a Super Admin that’s actually viewing their page (I’ve created a client login area), hence the need to use {segment} instead of CURRENT_USER.

    I think I’ll submit a Feature Request!

    Thanks!

    Hi Jonathan,

Sorry about that but please do feel free to post a Feature Request for this one.

If anything else crops up then please don’t hesitate to post again as needed.

    Cheers,

    Mark
