Hi EE Support - I have a ‘period’ (we call them full stops in Scotland, periods are something else…) appearing in my rendered template at the very start of the HTML, before the doctype.  It’s definitely not in the template code and had appeared immediately after installation.  I’ve uninstalled the SafeCracker module as I saw a post referring to this.  I’m using Multiple Site Manager.  Any idea why this should be here and how to get rid of it?  Thanks.

Is it possible that you accidentally inserted a “full stop” in your site’s index.php file, maybe while changing the path to the system folder or something like that? Having an extra period somewhere in that file would cause it to be rendered during output.

Absolutely right.  A rogue full stop just before <?php tag.  Sorted, thanks a lot.
