    Hi,
Is it possible for Certain members groups to create members and then only manage those members they have created? So they manage that certain member, and then that ‘sub’ member can log in with those details- preforabley all not having to log in via the main EE panel and use something like safecracker? Here is the scenario

+ Main Super Admin - owner of the site.

++ Distributor: (member category) Is given a log in via a super admin and can log into their admin panel. They can add members/users who are their customers.

+++ Customer (member category) of the disritbutor, and this member can log in to an admin panel and can only be edit by the distributor that added then (and super admin)

Any plug ins that might help would be great.

I have thought about using Chanel entries for Customers, but would love them to be able to log in to adjust their own details if required?

    Thanks

    Hi, Oliver.

When you set a particular group to have access to manage users, it’s not possible to restrict them to a particular grouping of users.

You can set up a SafeCracker form to allow people to add an entry or edit an entry in a channel. Might that work for you?

I would also like to know if there is a plugin or if this is possible.
I would like to create users in the site and enable a particular type of user to be able to update the member profile of only those users within their company.

EG A member that can manage only a select set of members.

    Hi Virgil,

Thanks for posting to the forums!

What you describe isn’t in ExpressionEngine at the moment. A member group can be given access to other member groups, but it can’t be confined to just one group.

    Cheers,
