For quite some time I cannot ping expressionengine, I get the following error:
expressionengine.com - This is not a known method for this XML-RPC Server
I have http://ping.expressionengine.com/index.php on port 80
Any ideas why?

Hi, Gnuus.
I can replicate this as a problem with 2.2.2 as well, we recently did a few moving around of things, and I’ll bet that’s what the issue is.
I’ll see what I can find out, we appreciate your patience.

Sorry about that, Gnuus. The EE site hasn’t shown the latest update list in quite a while and thus the ping url was deprecated when we updated the site earlier this month.
It’s time to retire that ping notification- sorry for any confusion on it!
