Has anyone successfully used the EE db to authenticate against for an IPB 3.2.X forum? The IPB sample auth.php for authenticating against an external db no doubt needs to be modified, but it’s over my head. I’ve asked the same question on IPB forums, but all the EE smarts is here 😊
The EE forum is tightly integrated to my EE member site and is fine for its purpose - but I would dearly love my EE members to have additional single sign-on access to a more open IPB.

There’s a guy at IPB who says it can be done and I’m waiting for more details (and a price) from him.

BTW….
what is your main reason for using IPB forum, besides is years light head of EE Forum module 😊
