I recently upgraded to version 2.2.2 and ever since I’m unable to upload files.

When I select “Add Image” the file manager is empty.

When I select “Add Image” a second time nothing happens.

There is a JS error that gets logged when I try to add an image. I’ve attached screenshots of both.

I’m aware of an bug that was previously reported but i tried the fixes that were recommended but they did not work.

    Hi Dyad,

After your upgrade did you synchronize your upload folders?

To upload a file you need to click Upload File in the top right of that modal window. Does that work for you?

Yes i tried syncing the file manager but still not working.

Attached is what my “edit” page looks like. My file upload fields are in a Matrix but I created a simple file upload field without the Matrix and had the same issue.

The File Manager itself works fine, its the custom field that’s not working.

    Dyad,

If you take Matrix out of the equation, using the file field on it’s own, do your still see this issue?

    Cheers,

Yes, I tested this out because i had thought that may have been the problem but the problem persists with a stand alone file upload field as well.

    Dyad,

Have you had the chance to apply this bug fix for the File Manager? If you apply that fix, does this issue persist?

    Cheers,

    Hi Dyad,

The standard file upload field that you are using is that just the ExpressionEngine file field or something else?

I see in your screenshot above where you are using Matrix that it has a plus icon next to it. I don’t get one of those when using a standard ExpressionEngine file field in my installs so just want to make sure that is what you are using here?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Yes, my “Test” field uses the standard ExpressionEngine file field.

I also did a line-for-line comparison of my install and a fresh copy of EE 2.2.2 and can confirm that they matched.

    Hi Dyad,

We’d like to get in and have a look. Be on the look out for an email from me.
