Hi there - we get a few “I’m really a legitimate forum poster” with fairly bland entries. They come a few at a time and usually as soon as India is online first thing in their morning, using poor english.

Easy to spot, but sometimes we let them run - the tactic is that they post a few times with no signature file ... then, guess what ... hey presto, a signature file (wih link) appears - populating ALL their previous posts.

Now I can catch this just by being smart, but it would be a WHOLE LOT easier if I could insert their forum sig file in my email notification of a new post (obviously for notifications only to admins or moderators).

That way I’d see immediately the sudden non-legit post, as opposed to having to go look if there is now a sig file & link (and then they get banned instantly)

This field does not appear to be available to add to a custom notification template - is there a way to add it easily please?

(Before anyone says “turn off signatures” ... that’s not a suitable solution, though I may have to find a way to do that for anyone with recent membership or less than 20 posts for example.)

Hi, Robert. Your best bet would be to put this in as a feature request. Or you could look on Devot-ee.com to see if something similar is there.

Thanks Sue - I’ll do that - I just thought there might be a way to do it already!
