Using EE 2.2 (system directory not above webroot), I have a client who wants to know can they remove admin.php altogether seeing as system/ also works to access the CP?
They would rather just have one URL available to access the CP.

Is it OK to remove admin.php, or does it need to be left alone?

    Thanks

As far as I’m aware you don’t need to use admin.php as you can still access the CP directly, at least that’s what I often do 😊

    Hi Janine,

I would probably just rename it. It doesn’t affect anything.
It would however be the recommended way to reach the control panel as opposed to system/
make sure your cp_url reflects the system/ address in yoru config.php
