I’m attempting to input my license number into the General Configuration page as well as change the Enable Multiple Site Manager from No to Yes.
However when I select the Yes and paste in my license number and hit save my changes are not stored.
If I made a change to the Name of my site’s index page, that does stick.
Please advise.

It’s been a while since working in 1.x but I believe that the index name is probably stored in the database whereas the license number is stored in the system > config.php file.
Therefore take a look via FTP to see if you have permissions set on that file that allow it to be updated.
