hi there, i am working on a page http://www.puppetstudios.co.uk/family

when i add an image field, it will not display the image, just the path to the image on the page. other custom fields are working fine. i have tried changing the tryp to xhtml, auto and none, but still no joy?

Hi Neil,

Could you go into a bit more detail for me? Are you adding a File or Text fieldtype in order to add the images? Or is it perhaps another fieldtype? What information are you entering into each field in the publish page?

Could you post the parts of the template code you’re using for the /family page around where you’d like the images to be?

the code i am trying to add to the design is as follows.

{exp:channel:entries channel="family"}

{thumb} {big_image} {test}

{/exp:channel:entries}

ive also added a screen shot of how i have the custom field set up. i hope this helps

That is the expected behavior.  Have a look at the user guide on variables; this will output exactly what is stored, it is up to you to create the image tags that turn that into the display you want.

Make sense?  Have a look at the example code at the top of those docs to see more about what I mean.
