    EE Freelancer v2.2.1

I have a directory with videos uploaded via FTP. I had 13 videos in the directory, and had it synched with the EE File Manager. Worked great.

I uploaded two new videos today via FTP and synchronized the directories from within ‘File Upload Preferences.’

It showed the directory as having synched 15 files.

When I went to ‘File Manager’ it only showed 13 files. I have cleared all caches and double checked folder permissions, and still it shows only 13 files.

I tried to just upload the file from within the File Manager. I seemed to upload ok (it got to 100%), but then it shows me a screen that tells me I don’t have permission to view that folder. (screen shot attached)

I also have another directory of PDFs that I actually uploaded through the Publish screen on a previous version of EE, and I cannot synch that directory with the new File Manger either. It will show the directory as having synched 29 files, but they don’t show up in the File Manger.

Not sure if this is what did it or not, but I went in and repaired and optimized the database tables and then synchronized again and the files are showing now.

Still getting the permissions message after attempting to upload.

    ramseymedia,

Are you uploading as a SuperAdmin?
Can you head into your Security and Session Preferences and turn off Apply XSS Filtering to uploaded files?

Yes, I’m uploading as a SuperAdmin.

Turning off the XSS Filtering did the trick.

Is that going to be any kind of a security issue?

Glad you are up and running again.

Is that going to be any kind of a security issue?

Do you have a member based site where they are allowed to upload files?
If not then this is not so much of an issue.

You can tailor this option to just a particular member if you wish using a config variable

    Does that help?

It’s just me uploading files, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

    Thanks!
