I’m working on an EE add-on to allow PHP code to run at both the input and output template parsing stages (PHP Parsing Stage in Template Preferences).  I’m under the impression this is something a lot of people have wanted / would want.  I’ve done some searching and I couldn’t find an existing solution for this, so I tentatively assume it isn’t already available.  If it is, I’d like to find out about that.

This is currently experimental.  I have to see if it’s really workable.  But I want to gauge interest before I continue to put time into it.  If you’d be interested in this capability, please visit GoFreePHP.com and subscribe to the mailing list to let me know I should keep working on it.  Your email will only be used to contact you with news about the add-on.  If people would like to express interest but are freaked out about giving their email, I’ll setup a survey.

I’ve only been able to try this on EE 1.  I need to find out if it works on EE 2, but I don’t have access to it.  If anyone would care to give me access to an EE 2 installation to investigate that, that would be cool.

    Thanks,
    Jesse
