    EE 1.7

    New server specs:
    LAMP
    MySql 5.1.52
    PHP 5.3.6

    Old Server specs:
    IIS
    5.0.51a
    PHP 5.2.13

Followed the migration instructions. db is set, username, pw, hostname, etc

Cleared the cache dir aside from the index.php file.

    I’m getting this error:

Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in…...

Database Error: Unable to connect to your database. Your database appears to be turned off or the database connection settings in your config file are not correct. Please contact your hosting provider if the problem persists.

I’ve tried looking through the forums etc, nothing seems to get it working 😕

    Thanks,
    Carlos

    Hi Carlos,

That sounds like an incompatibility with PHP 5.3 that’s been fixed in the most recent releases of EE 1.x. Could you upgrade to the latest version and see if that takes care of it?
