This question may be related to a resolved thread.
We just upgraded devot:ee to EE 2.2.2 and are unable to edit/save some older entries. We found that this was due to the Forum Topic ID field being populated with a ‘0’, as mentioned in the other thread. I remember in EE1, there was a way to keep the Forum tab from showing on channels where it isn’t relevant - which is almost every channel in our case. So I have two questions:

    1) Is there a quick way (SQL is fine…) to wipe all Forum Topic ID’s from being 0 so we can save our entries? These seem to be re-populating with ‘0’s when we come back to these entries.
    2) What is the best method to keep the forum tab from showing in these channels? Is there a setting somewhere, or is this what the publish layouts are for? Does hiding the forum topic id field in a publish layout effectively disable it, or only hide it?

Basically, we have the forum installed and don’t want its tab on any of our channels, messing with our ability to save.

    Hi Ryan,

Just referencing the Bug Report you have also added detail to for the benefit of this thread.

I’ll ping Kevin on this one as he was originally involved with that report and also has been involved with your upgrade so it would be good to keep that familiarity.
