We have recently developed a website using EE for the first time and when demoing to the client noticed a number of issues with the control panel using IE6.  There were some layout issues and the file upload does not appear to be working.  I have attached screenshots of this.  I have been trying to find out which browsers are officially supported by EE but have not been able to find any documentation - would be helpful if someone could point me to this if it exists.

    Many thanks.

Hi Zendit, welcome to the forums!

Sorry but I doubt anyone will sympathise with people still using IE6 any more, its like using a cassette player and complaining about the sound quality 😛 Just do your client a favour and tell them to either upgrade to IE9, or preferably use firefox or chrome

Hopefully one of the moderators can be shed some light on an officially supported list of browsers, but I (and every developer I know) personally don’t worry about IE6 any more, makes me angry just thinking about all the hundreds of hours I’ve wasted trying to make websites support it 😊

    Hello zendit,

    Welcome to the forums!

Dave, Michael, thanks for the assist!

zendit, Like they pointed out, we don’t support the Control Panel in IE6. Sorry is this causes you any grief. However, ExpressionEngine can still be used to *display* sites to IE6 (or any browser) but *output* is up to the developer of the site.

I’m going to resolve this out. zendit, please start a new thread if you need any assistance in the future 😊

    Cheers!
