    Hello,
    I’m after some help please.
    We’re running EE v2.1.3 with PHP 5.3.6, MySql 5.5.10 on IIS v7.
The problem I have is Whenever I create a new custom field I get an internal server error(500).  On some occassions, despite getting the error page, I can roll back to the “Add/Edit Custom Fields” page, refresh it and see that the custom fied has in fact been created.  However this is not always the case, I am not able to create a file upload custom field.
Any help at all to resolve this is much appreciated.

This kind of problem is difficult to identify from afar. I suspect it may be a permissions issue of some sort.

The best way to trace internal server errors is reviewing your IIS and PHP (if applicable) log files to see what’s going wrong…

    Thanks Cue,
I’ll have a butchers at the log files and go from there.

    WhiteConcierge,

As Cue says your logs would be the first place here as that is a server error as oppose to an EE one

Give our Server Wizard a run too for piece of mind.

Let us know how you get on
