    Howdy,

I just updated to EE 2.2.1 and am attempting to use the new Orbit slider. From what I can see, it seems to require jQuery 1.5.1 (though I could be wrong). Using {exp:jquery:script_tag} I see that 2.2.1 is still using jQuery v1.4.2. Will this be updated? Should I just download jQuery 1.5.1 and run that locally instead of relying on the plugin?

    Thanks!

    helbnt,

If you open themes/javascript/compressed/jquery/jquery.js, can you confirm that it shows 1.6.1 in the comments at the top of the file? Where are you still seeing 1.4.2?

    Hi Brandon,

My jQuery.js file is v1.4.2 - guess that explains why I’m seeing what I’m seeing.

I’m using the {exp:jquery:script_tag} in the head section of my site. When viewing source I see this is my head:
    < script type=“text/javascript” charset=“utf-8” src=“http://www.harleyroads.com/?ACT=jquery”>< /script>

Clicking on the src link takes me to the 1.4.2 version of jQuery.

    helbnt,

Make sure you’re following the update instructions carefully, as it sounds like some of your theme folders weren’t updated. In this case, yes, you should be able to drop in the latest version of jQuery and be fine.

Thanks for the help Brandon - after my last nightmare of an update, I was pretty certain I’d followed all the steps carefully. Apparently I missed the themes folder. I copied that up and everything seems fine now.

    Thanks again!
