I was looking up how all these big sites like to hide their javascript and one of the methods that I read about is called packing. Basically you write your script, then you send it into a “packing script” and it will remove all of the comments, spaces and all that and keep it all on one line and then encrypts it. To top it off, they tend to use sessions to load javascript files so it becomes harder for the user to get direct access to it.
For most hobby sites, definitively overkill, but it’s something worth looking into I think. What are your thoughts?
