Hi Just upgraded a clients site from 2.1.3 to 2.2.0 and I am unable to login to the control panel. Giving same login info as usual I get this error:
“You are only permitted to make four login attempts every 1 minute(s)”
It did this on my first attempt to login. Tried a different browser with the same results.
I also tried resetting my login password. System emailed me a new password. New password had the same results. Checked permissions on folders and files. Checked system path on index.php and admin.php. all seems to be ok.

I did a full backup of the old database and files. Trying to avoid the roll-back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Shan,

This is a bug which has been fixed for next release. You can find a fix in the reports here though

I did a search in the wiki before posting, I did not see this trouble shooting tip.
Question: Is this something I should be concerned about? After the upgrade to 2.2.0 I saw this message on first login to the control panel. “The file index.php has been modified.” With the option to accept or cancel.

Did you upload the new index.php when updating? If so, then go ahead and accept those changes, as you were the one that made them. =)

Yes I added the index.php file from EE 2.2.0 directory. I did accept the changes. EE 2.2.0 update is working fine.
Time to update to 2.2.1
