    Hi all,

I have a question that I cannot find a good answer to. I am on EE 1.7.1. I am looking to used one of my custom fields to post by moblog to utilize the coding I have for a nice audio player… Moblog only allows ‘text area’ fields and this is currently a ‘text input’ field. If I change this setting will it still work as planned for mp3 input, or does text area make it react differently?

    Will old posts still work?

Sorry if we have gone over this somewhere else, I couldn’t find it… 😊

    Hi, Daniel.

There is a hidden configuration option for moblogs:

    See:
    http://expressionengine.com/wiki/Hidden_Configuration_Variables/#moblog_allow_nontextareas

    Does that help?

    Hi Sue!

I assumed I add that line to my config.php, however doing so knocked out my entire site… Did I assume wrong?

    Thanks!

    Hi, Dan -

Glad that got you up and running!

Also, using a textarea probably would have still worked; just means it’s a bigger field that allows more data, so not necessary except to use with the moblog.  But the hidden config is probably a better option.

If you have any other questions, do let us know.  Thank you!
