    Hello Everyone,

I just upgraded to EE 2.2 (from 2.1.3) and everything went smoothly. However, when I go to the CP, I get the following PHP error:

    Severity: Warning
Message: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/New_York' for 'EDT/-4.0/DST' instead
    Filename: libraries/Core.php
    Line Number: 227

Has anyone encountered this error before? How to fix it?

Thank you in advance for your help.
    Mario

    Hi, Mario.

This is something you will need to ask your host about. Or Edit your custom php.ini if you have one to set your default date timezone.

    Thank you Sue.
Setting the PHP timezone fixed the error.

    Thanks again,
    Mario
