Hi, Thomas. What were you doing when the error happened? What happens if you turn off gzipping?

Sue,
it shows up occasionally without any visible pattern.

Hi Thomas,
Have you contacted your host regarding this error? A Google search indicates that this may be related to running PHP via CGI, and isn’t ExpressionEngine-specific.

I’ll check that and report back. Thanks, Brandon.

Brandon,
i have switched off gzip for now. My host wants to know if mod_deflate is a viable option with EE?
#8 / Jun 23, 2011 12:27pm
Hi Thomas,
EE uses PHP’s standard output buffering commands. I’m not familiar with the specifics of your server setup but there are plenty of EE sites out there using Gzip successfully, so do give mod_deflate a try if possible.

Line Number: 264Hi Brandon,
by now i have installed Brilliant Retail and it is running fine. Before that module i never had the above mentioned issue - so i am wondering if it is connected. where exactly does ‘URL-Rewriter’ come into play with EE?
btw, i get the warning even after i switch gzip off in EE.
Thanks!

Hi, Thomas,
We haven’t seen that error come up before; if you uninstall BR temporarily, does the error go away? If so, you may need to follow up with the Brilliant Retail folks.
Let us know!
