    Hello all,

I set the required email field in my comment form to hidden with a value of “[email protected]”. I am still getting spam comments and I noticed the spam submissions are overriding that fake email.

What would be the best way of going about only accepting submissions with the email of “[email protected]” and/or marking all others as spam?

    Thanks!

    Hi Nick,

    Welcome to the forums 😊

There are a number of add-ons that help with Comment form spam like Low NoSpam or if you wished for a stronger captcha try reCAPTCHA

I am not sure I follow you thinking with the example email. I would definitely try the add on above or research some of the others available

    Does that help?

    Hey John,

    Thanks so much!

I’m getting more and more acquainted with the EE community every day. I’m familiar with Low, but not with his modules/plugins.

    You’ve been a great help!
