GWcode Categories has been updated to v1.6.1 today and I’ve also converted the plugin for EE1.

New in this version is the ability to provide multiple entry id’s in the entry_id parameter. This allows you to create a list of categories the provided entries have been added to. The categories in the list will be unique, so if entry 1 has been added to category A & B and entry 2 has been added to category B & C, the result will be A, B & C instead of A, B, B & C.

    General information:
This MSM compatible plugin for ExpressionEngine 1 & 2 allows you to list your categories (nested or linear) based on certain conditionals, such as a minimum depth, maximum depth or fixed depth. It can be used to easily display a category based dynamic breadcrumbs trail for example, or a category’s child categories.

    Get it now.

    No seriously, get it now!

Everything Leon has made is top notch and I believe that this add-on and his other categories add-on should be built in to ExpressionEngine as standard. I actually contacted him a while back regarding this add-on to see if it would do something that I needed on a site. It didn’t and so within around 1 day he had created his other categories plugin which you can see on his site.

I couldn’t believe how fast he created it and equally couldn’t believe that no-one else had ever created this previously. This is something I have always needed on sites and if I had known how to programme it myself I would have done but I just didn’t have the knowledge. Along came Leon and BAM created the plugin in under a day. Now that’s what I call Stellar!

Never again will I have to ‘hack’ things together to get what I want with categories.

Many thanks Leon for excellent add-ons and support.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
