Are Super Admins the only ones who can change an entries channel in the publish form’s Options section?

As a Super Admin, I can, but my editors cannot.

I created a test user group based upon SA and that group does not get a list of channels either.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Hi Jim,

Is it just an empty dropdown?

There have been a few bugs regarding that dropdown in the past.

What version and build of EE are you using?

    Are you using any add-ons?

What have you currently got switched on for your Editors Group regarding Channel permissions?

It is just an empty dropdown.

    EE v2.1.3 build 20101220
    Structure
    Matrix
    SuperSearch
    Freeform
    Playa
    Wygwam
    NSM Better Meta

I created a user group that was a copy of Super Admin with everything turned on and still got the empty drop down.

( I know, an EE upgrade is on our Change Control schedule )

    Thanks,

    Jim

Jim, when you set up the new user group, did you give them access to the additional channels? Each time you create a new channel, you have to go and set up the other groups to have access to it.

    Does that help?

Sorry, not really.  :coolsmirk:  When I created my test user group, it was based upon the Super Admin account, so it has access to all channels.

It’s not a huge deal, I just wanted to check if there was anything I had configured incorrectly.  It just means that I have to switch them, instead of my other developers.

    Regards,

    Jim

If you add a new channel after you set up a new group, you have to retroactively go back and add that group to the channel. Might that have been the problem?

My test user group had access to all channels at the time of testing.

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Hi Jim,

This is fixed in 2.1.5 and later.

OK. Great.  I can wait for v2.2.

    Thanks,
