We have a numeric text input field and when numbers in the millions are entered the value is converted to scientific e notation which means whenever the entry is updated you have to go back and reset it to the appropriate value before submitting. Any help resolving this problem/bug would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi, refina.

I remember seeing this as a problem a while back, were you setting the value of Field Content to use Numeric or Integer?

Can you tell us which version/build of EE2.x you’re using? See EEWiki:// HowTo Determine My EE Version

This way I can test against a newer version to see if it’s fixed.

Thanks Sue, we are using 2.1.3 currently. The field is a Number. Really appreciate the help!

    Hi, refina.

This is fixed for the next stable release of EE 2.2 - https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/15256/

In the meantime as a workaround (and I know it’s a pain) would be to set that field to be text and put in the number that way.
