    Hello,
I’m considering creating a site that provides coaches/managers/parents the ability to create and manage a small sports team site of their own.  The individual teams may, or may not be associated with each other.

All team sites would fall under a single domain, following a typical sub-folder structure (ie: league.com/teamname/index.php)

Access would be subscription-based, to cover administration and hard costs.  I am considering the use of ads but only as a way to supplement subscription costs.  I’m also considering the use of ads within each team’s site as a fundraising mechanism for the team.

Would this be considered a “hosted service” as identified in the first item under Restrictions in your License Agreement?

To me, a ‘hosted service’ would be squarespace.com, blogger.com or wordpress.com, which I suppose is similar to what I describe above, but not the same.

If yes, how would the model above have to change to be permitted under the license?

    Thanks very much!

    Doug,

The fact you are charging a subscription for a third-party to be able to create and manage a sports team site of their own sounds very much like a ‘hosted service’
