    Hi all,

We recently deployed an EE site to a Windows Server but we are getting a lot of 500 errors when submitting things like new Member registrations.

The sysadmin said in this instance its because EE is trying to enter an empty string into the birthday field which is an integer.

Is this something Windows is more sensitive to? Could there be an issue with the migration?

    Hi Steve,

Can you run the Server Wizard on that server please. What version of PHP is it running?

The sysadmin said in this instance its because EE is trying to enter an empty string into the birthday field which is an integer.

The 500 is a server error. So when your host said that it was because of the empty string, they must have had an error in their logs to go on. Can you find out what the error was?

I can ask for the exact error but the empty string in an integer field is what they came back with originally.

Also there are big slowdowns when loading an entry publish screen but templates and other general CP functions are pretty quick. Wonder if that points to an add-on problem too?

    Steve,

It would be helpful to have the exact error thanks.
You could try disabling extensions globally to see if that has an effect on the publish page speed
