Is there a way to re-submit all entries at once instead opening each entry and clicking Submit?

There is not an out of the box way to do that.  What is going on that you need to? If you can share the story with us we may be able to help come up with a solution.

We use automated software for entry publishing, and because of some limitations of the software we could not select categories “the normal way” so we installed SC Category Select fieldtype.

The software was set to click on Quick save instead Submit and only later we saw that if quick save is used then categories are not saved. This can be fixed just to go to entry and re-submit it using the submit buton, that should be used in the first place, then category is saved.

You may ask why can’t we just use that software to re-submit those entries, well, it’s not that simple and it would be very unreliable.

Unfortunately I don’t have a solution for you.  A query to update those entries may be the best way.  That depends if they all need different categories or not.  DataGrab can also update entries, and that may be a good option for you.

I’ll also move this down to Community Help in case others have a potential solution for you.

This is a job for a database query.
