    How would I run multiple forums through regular templates? I have created a
    new template, but how do I specify the board it should use?

    Are there parameters for {exp:forums}?  Something like {exp:forums board="board_1"}

    Hi, ibsysadmin. Welcome to the EE forums.

    At this point, you can only use the initial forum board. This would make a great Feature Request.

    Does that help?

    Hi, ibsysadmin.

    In EE1, you can use:

    {exp:forums board="2"}

    Where 2 is the board number.

    In EE 2.x (just in case you decide to upgrade, you use the board shortname instead of the number.

    Hi,

    I have added this syntax and I see the following message when trying to view the forum:

    Error

    The following tag has a syntax error:

    {exp:forums}

    Please correct the syntax in your template.

    The syntax I used is: {exp:forums board="2"}

    We are using EE 1.6.7

    ibsysadmin,

    What is your version and build for your forums?
    If it is old then that parameter may not have been available until later versions

    We have version 2.1.0 which based on this page (http://expressionengine.com/downloads/details/discussion_forum_module/) appears to be the most recent.

    ibsysadmin,

    Please go ahead and upgrade to EE 1.7.1 so that EE and the Forum add-on are in sync. Keep us posted, please!

    If we upgrade to 1.7.1, is there any guarantee that this tag will then work?  Any potential reasons why it would not?

    It worked on my test install of EE 1.7.1. Give it a try.
