I was wondering if it were possible to move all of that information over to the message board module for ExressionEngine from my currant message board software: phpBB.

    Hi Studio Graphiko,

I don’t know of a direct import path, and I’m not familiar enough with phpBB’s structure to know how similar it is to the EE Forum module, but it appears some have been successful with this in the past.

The current problem being that the successful attempts has been done with phpBB2 - I’m currently facing the same problem; I’m trying to sell the idea of using EE as the base for future development with the forum module, but having the same problem as B. Jones, with not being familiar enough with phpBB it’s hard to sell this idea.

But I’ll follow this thread and post an update if I find a solution.

Studio Graphics and Repox, the threads I remember seeing were with EE1.x, so it’s kind of dated. If you do find out more information I’m sure there are others that would appreciate knowing about it.
