Hi - I may be asking something obvious, but is there any way to check if someone has entered a full http:// url and if not to add this? I have custom member fields for flickr, facebook pages etc. and, despite clear instructions, some users are simply dropping in their Facebook ID whilst others are inputting the full url. Is there a plug-in or method which can check if they’d added the full url with http:// and if not construct the url?

    Hope this makes sense :S

    Hi, John,

There isn’t an out of the box way to do this, so you would need a custom solution - perhaps some javascript validation.  I haven’t heard of a plugin to do this, but you might search around at Devot-ee in case there’s something there.

I’m also going to move this down to the CodeShare corner for more discussion.

    Thank you!
