Hi guys I am in need of some expression engine magic. Basically i have limited skills in Expression Engine as I have always specialised in Joomla. Long story short I’m working for a company that has an expression engine driven website.. I’m slowly piecing it together but hit a massive stumbling block.

The website is http://www.taximedia.com if you look up the top there is a flash taxi… to the right is a big orange square that i want to make white… Can’t find any mention of it in the css.. freaking out.

Unless I’m misunderstanding what you need you’re not going to find the orange square colour in any CSS file as it’s part of the .swf (flash) file.

You would need to have the original .fla file and open it using Flash to be able to change the colour and then re-export the .swf file again and then upload that to the site.

    Best wishes,

Firstly thanks for the fast reply. Much appreciated. funny thing is the background images can be found in a folder on the server… but can’t find that orange bit anywhere. I have a swf file but don’t have the original .fla file…. I think you might be right.

also when i play the .swf file the background images aren’t included… basically the flash taxi video has a transparent background…

    I’m pretty sure I am 😉

If I view the .swf file on its own - http://www.taximedia.com/assets/flash/taxi_media_cab.swf then it definitely has that orange as the background. There’s nothing that can be done about that other than editing the original file I’m afraid. If the original Flash developer had put in a flash variable where you could change the background colour then you could do it that way passing in a value but if that had been done you would need to know the name of the value and there’s no way that I know of to find that out even if there is one I’m afraid so you would either need to get that part of the site remade in Flash again or find the original file somehow.

    Best wishes,

No problem. Hope you find some way of getting the original.
