    Hi all,

We are 4-ee, an experienced team dedicated to building sites and add-ons with ExpressionEngine. We’ve recently launched our first add-on: 4-eeQuiz. Its a big step for EE because it allows you to make the leap to an integrated Learning Management System. Create highly customizable questions, construct quizzes, gather answers, and view statistics. There’s more to come but we thought this would be a good way to introduce ourselves.

Check out screenshots, docs, and more details here: http://www.4-ee.com/

    Some features:

    - question configurations include:
      + Matching
      + Essay
      + True/False
      + Multiple Choice
      + Select All That Apply
      + Voting Ballot
      + Fill In the Blank
      + Liker Scale
    - fine grain controls and options for every question type and quiz
    - simple and powerful templating system for easy integration into your site
    - ability to view answers and statistics per quiz
    - compatible with ee1 and ee2

Let us know what you think!

We’ve built a demo on our site, where you can see some examples of just what 4-eeQuiz can accomplish. If you’re curious to see more about it, please check it out! 4-ee.com

    Hello 4-ee

Thanks for the addon. I really needed one.

Can you tell me as to how it compares with LimeSurvey in terms of features ?

I’m not familiar with LimeSurvey but I’d be happy to answer any specific questions you have about a feature you’re looking for.

4-eeQuiz has a great deal of built in functionality and is under continued development. We’ll be adding more features as requests come in.  Feel free to let us know how we can help or what we can improve.

I am looking for a system similar to moodle, in a sense full fledge LMS.

We need to setup an online university, but there is no addon which integrates moodle with EE 2.

So I would be looking at your solution, though it looks a bit simpler in terms of features.

I would love to talk to you privately via email regarding my requirements.

    Thanks for the email

    I have one question.

Is it mandatory for visitors to register for an account in order to take the quizzes ? Can guests take quizzes without seeing any logging screen, just jumping straight to the quiz and at the end, they can enter their email for getting results from the teacher. ?

Also, is there a roadmap of what new features you have in line ?

Is there a link where visitors can vote for new features to be implemented, such as voting for which features they like and which they do not ? like Uservoice service

    One more question

Is there a way to sign up for updates on your changelogs, version updates ?

I just noticed that you released 1.0.2 of the quiz, i would like to keep track of new versions via email.

    One more question

Can you provide a demo on your site, where i can go and test all the features, especially the area in the admin section. Where all the quizzes are setup.?

I want to get a hands-on demo to how the complete thing works.

    Hi Saeed,

Sorry about the delay on these answers… it looks like we’re in different time zones. Anyway:

Is it mandatory for visitors to register for an account in order to take the quizzes ? Can guests take quizzes without seeing any logging screen, just jumping straight to the quiz and at the end, they can enter their email for getting results from the teacher. ?

Yes, the reason being that answer data is captured and therefore must be linked to a member account and stored in the database.

Also, is there a roadmap of what new features you have in line ?

Is there a link where visitors can vote for new features to be implemented, such as voting for which features they like and which they do not ? like Uservoice service

We don’t currently have a roadmap of upcoming and planned features, but we may implement a ballot where users can vote on desired features.

Is there a way to sign up for updates on your changelogs, version updates ?

Currently, the best way to keep up to date is to follow us on twitter and to keep an eye on our site. We may add an email list for those who want to be notified. Finally, if people show they want it, we can integrate with the Leevi Graham’s LG Add-On Updater.

Can you provide a demo on your site, where i can go and test all the features, especially the area in the admin section. Where all the quizzes are setup.?

I want to get a hands-on demo to how the complete thing works.

Unfortunately, giving users access to the control panel to demo the the quiz building interface is too risky on our end. We do have a couple things planned though, which will help out and give people a better idea of the control panel side. Here’s what to expect in the near future:
    1) In the question-demo area, we’re going to add screenshots of the relevant parts of the control panel. With this, you’ll be able to see exactly what went into creating each question.
    2) We’re discussing taking a video of the whole process, so people can get a better idea of what kind of power the client/admin has with question and quiz creation.

Would you provide support along with the purchase ?

Yes. We’ve been very active on our support forums, and we’ve already released two updates with both feature additions and bug fixes.

Would i be able to write questions in Arabic ? Does your addon support Multilanguage capability ?

We’ll have to get back to you on this one. We’ll be sure so update this thread shortly.

    Thanks for the interest!

At the moment, we don’t have a facebook page set up…

And in response to using a foreign language, we’ve made some tweaks and you’ll be able to use foreign characters in our next update (current build is 1.0.2). We’re expecting to have it ready within this week.

    Hello 4-ee

Thanks great, arabic is Right to Left language.

Can you clarify as to where I would be able to use Arabic, could i create questions in Arabic and can the visitors reply in arabic, if they choose to ?

I want both options to be available to the visitors, arabic and english.
