EE2 bought but EE1 needed temporarily

    Hi

I bought a second EE license for a new project but there isn’t yet an EE2 version of the add-in I need (Champagne for integration with Campaign Monitor). I’ll probably only need EE1 to demonstrate the concept for sending eNewsletters - I’m hoping that an EE2-ready version of Champagne will be ready by June 2011.

Can I download EE 1.6.8, and where do I find it on the EE site? Do I have to buy yet another license? If so, can I exchange it for an EE2 license later, when the EE2-compatible version of Champagne is available? Thanks.

If you’ve purchased 2.0 then you can indeed download V1.0 at no extra cost. You can’t use both 2.0 and 1.0 on live sites though. It’s either one or the other.

You are allowed to set up as many development servers as you like as long as they are definitely not available to the public view.

As for downloading V1.0 if you go to your ‘My Purchases’ section then you can go as through the actions to download V2.0 but on the page which comes up with the license agreement there should be some radio buttons allowing you to choose which version to download. The last radio button should be for 1.x which should give you what you want.

    Hope that helps a bit.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
