An EE 1.6.5 was just moved to another server. Everything loads fine, except the homepage which is just blank. Control panel pages load fine as does domain.com/about, news - everything is ok except homepage.

    What could cause this?

Are you using any extensions? I would suggest upgrading to EE 1.7, helps us ruling out a file corruption issue if nothing else. Would that be an option?

Client doesn’t want to renew the license, required to upgrade to 1.7. Is there any way I can test for and fix a possible file corruption?

    Hi, stef25 -

In Admin > System Preferences > Output and Debugging, do you have PHP Errors set to show to Superadmins?

Also, if you go to Admin > Utilities > PHP Info, can you let us know the values of memory_limit and display_errors?

There isn’t really any good way to test for file corruption, other than to open each EE file and look at it - or scan or 0 byte PHP files - though corrupted uploads are not always 0 bytes.

One thing you can do is copy that template’s code somewhere safe, then replace it with something like test That would help to indicate if 1) that template is being shown and 2) that template’s code is at fault.

Let us know what you find out!
